Your safety and comfort come first. This page explains our general approach to consent and aftercare. Full, treatment-specific consent and aftercare information is discussed with you and signed in the studio before any treatment.
Informed consent
Before any treatment we will explain what it involves, the expected benefits, any risks or side effects, alternatives, and the likely results. You will have the opportunity to ask questions. Treatment only goes ahead once you have given your informed consent, and you may withdraw consent at any time.
Before your treatment
- Tell us about any medical conditions, medications, supplements or allergies.
- Let us know if you are, or may be, pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medication (where medically appropriate) before injectable treatments.
- Arrive with clean skin, free of make-up where possible.
General aftercare
Specific advice depends on your treatment and will be given to you personally. As a general guide, after injectable or skin treatments many clients are advised to:
- Avoid touching, rubbing or applying make-up to the treated area for the first 24 hours.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms and excessive heat for 24–48 hours.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours.
- Stay out of direct sun and use SPF as advised.
- Follow any product or skincare instructions we give you.
When to contact us
Mild redness, swelling or tenderness can be normal and usually settles quickly. Please contact us if you have any concerns, or if you experience anything unexpected, severe or persistent, so we can support you. In a medical emergency, always call 999 or seek urgent medical help.
